View Source Does Not Work On This Computer

I am running Windows XP Pro with service pack 2 and have Internet Explorer
6.0.2900 installed. On this machine I have the Google toolbar installed.
For some reason when I click on View and then Source I do not see the html
for the webpage that is being displayed.

Any ideas as to why this function does not work on this machine and how I
would get it so that the source code will display?

Thanks.

Remove any shortcut to NotePad on your desktop - this is a silly problem -
so silly I have never bothered to find out why it happens. Drag it to the
quick launch bar and delete or rename the one left on the desktop to NPad or
something.

Got internet options>and clean up the temporary internet files.

There is some software that can cause this but I think it's unlikely your
problem.

You can click on the toolbar (right mouse) and select customize... from
there you can add an "Edit" button which does close to the same thing with
notepad as the default, unless you have a better editor installed in which
case you should get a choice.

Charlie,

I do not have any shortcuts to NotePad on my desktop but deleting the
temporary files seemed to have fixed it.

Thank you.
