"View Source" for HTML will not work

When viewing any webpage, usually you can go to 'View' on
the IE top menu bar, and then go down and
select 'source'. This usually opens Notepad and shows the
HTML for the webpage. I cannot get this to work on my
computer.
Please help me out!

Hi,
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

If you have a shortcut to Notepad.exe on the desktop, rename it.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this
