View in Open Dialog

I have a user that would like to use the list view in the Open Dialog box in
MS Word. However, with that view, she would like to change the column
spacing. Does anyone know how to change that?
 
Column spacing can be set in Details view; the column spacing in List view
is based on the length of the longest filename in a given folder.
