Videos won't play on YouTube.com in IE6, but work in FireFox

Since the most recent Windows Update last week I am no longer able to view
video on YouTube.com (which I've been able to view with no problem for the
past 6 months).

I get this message:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of
Macromedia's Flash Player, click here to get the latest flash player."

I definitely have javascript enabled in Internet Options and I definitely
have the latest Flash / Shockwave plugins.

I am also able to view the videos on YouTube just fine in FireFox.

I did some research on http://support.microsoft.com and found article 917425
which seemed to be the most likely thing to address the problem, and I
downloaded / installed the patch from there. However, this did not resolve
the issue.

Does anyone here have an idea of what the problem might be?
Thanks very much for any advice!

Do you have a popup/ad blocker that can be blocking the Videos? I sometimes
have tis problem wit other sites tat won't load and I just allowed that page

Thanks for the reply, but no, I made sure to disable my popup blocker and any
firewall / security software to test for that.
