Video stops in dvd player

I have made a dvd of a movie I have using Roxio but when I try playing it on
my dvd player it keeps stoping then continues and stops again.I also tried
Nero 7 but this program takes over everything and does not allow me to play
any movies on Media player.Is ther a solution to this problem?

It could be a simple compatibility issue between your standalone
DVD player and the blank disk you used to record.
If you have DVD playback+decoder software installed on your PC
and the DVD plays OK on PC that eliminates a corrupt disk or
incorrectly recorded.

I think you are burning your video at too high a speed. You should burn at
the lowest spped possible say 4x or 2x.
