I have some WMV 's that I would like to burn to DVD so I can play them in my
DVD player & view on my tv screen. I took the videos into Windows Movie Maker
& was able to burn the recoradable DVD & can view them on my pc but I get
"can't read disc" message in my DVD player. What am I missing?

No standalone player can read WMV files.

You need to turn them into either DIVX files (and then only IF your
standalone DVD player supports Divx files)... or into MPEG1 or MPEG2
files... or into a Video DVD.

What you have created is a data DVD, a collection of WMV files that only a
PC can read.
