Video signal to TV

I recently got a LCD TV. One of the features I was
excited about was using the DVI connector on the back of
it to hook my computer into. When I hooked the computer
in, I got no signal. When checking the manual, I found
that the manufacturer does not support any devices except
an HDTV cable box through that connector, and that I
could in fact damage the TV by hooking anything else up
to it. Is there any way to use this TV as a computer
monitor, besides an S-Video connection?

Let me go through this.... I think you have a graphics card with a DVI port
on it. Then you have an LCD TV which has Component Inputs on it?

Is this correct?

Well whether you're getting enough or not, it's not the correct solution to
getting a DVI signal to an HDTV with no DVI in port. It may satisfy you in
the short term, but you still won't get the monitor to work with your
answer!
