Video Screenshot and Codec Info

Hi

I wan't to make an app to extract screenshots from video files and also get
info about the codec used.
I couldn't find any info about this on Google so Im trying here. Can anyone
point me in the right direction?

well, you should use the directx (directshow) to do so,
but as far as i know there is no directshow for .net
BUT there is a wrapper for .net - its called, DirectShow.NET
there is a link how u can get a frame - combining it whith the
DirectShow.NET:
