Video restoration software - need recommendations...

I have captured my old VHS tapes (circa 1990) to my camcorder and uploaded
them to Movie Maker, edited them and burnt DVDs using Ulead... However, the
result is very granular and fuzzy around the edges of the images; seems to be
in need of restoration... Any recommendations on what software to use?
