Video in PowerPoint

I have a video that I put into PowerPoint. It works great on my laptop. As
soon as I hook up to my projector and try to run the show, the video
disappears. Either the laptop is not pushing the video to the projector or
the projector is not recognizing the video and thus not projecting the image.
Any ideas?
