video driver conflict

Jim

I cannot load any drivers for my video card (geforce IV
4200) due to a conflict with AGP2.0/3.0 controller. I
currently use the computer with video driver uninstalled
but I cannot take advantage of video features.
This happened suddenly when I installed a dvd-rw drive
which works fine.
Any input is appreciated. I don't know how to change
memory settings in XP. If I install the driver my
computer hangs and I have to use safe mode and then
uninstall the driver.

Nothing to do with memory... but probably plenty to do with the AGP
Controller which is part of the motherboard driver package.

If you know the manufacturer of the motherboard, look at their website.....
(if the board is a Via chipset, use the Hyperion drivers at
www.viaarena.com)..... if you don't know, check the website of the PC
manufacturer.
