Movie maker is only detecting my logitech web cam
as "Available Device" - I can not get it to detect my
video camera. The strange thing is - if I disconnect the
web cam - then my Panasonic will appear in the Imaging
Devices in the Device Manager. But with the web cam
installed the Panasonic only appears under Universal
Serial Bus Controllers in the Device Manager. Does any
one have any suggestions. Both are USB if that helps.I
am running a Sony System and am new to XP. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

a) Ensure your camera is connected to an A/C power supply and NOT using its
battery

b) If the problem is still occuring with the camera after a) is correct,
then it is probably because the PSU (power supply unit) from the PC cannot
supply enough power to the USB ports. Consider a higher wattage PSU.
