Video crash with new XP Pro install

I just installed XP Pro. Various things were locking up...keyboard, mouse,
video goes black. I was able to install the XP video driver before the last
lock up. But, the video keeps going black/shutdown. It's random as to how
long it takes before the monitor loses signal...

What should I do?

Try control-panel,administration,event viewer,chk the events/warnings,click
on the url in it,this opens help/support in xp,usually with a fix.Also,go
to the
video adapter mfg web site,update the drivers/software for it,if you run
intel
based motherboard,install the chip set installation utility 1st.
