Video Card Advice

I currently have a Pentium III Tualatin 1.2GHz, 256MB of PC133 SDRAM and an
ATI Radeon 8500 (and of course Windows XP). I am thinking of getting a
Radeon 9600 as I can get one quite cheap. Would this be a worthwhile thing
to do, or would I be throwing my money away. My 8500 still seems to have a
lot of life in it. Thanks for any advice.

Hi, depends if you use the PC for gaming alot and what games your play. If
you want to play the most up to date ones, such as Halo, then really you
should be looking at a 9600XT or above, the 9800Pro is very good and
possible better value then the XT version....

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll wait a while longer and get the 9800
when the prices come down. All my current games seem to run fine with my
8500.

I didn't mean to post this in the wrong forum by the way; I thought I posted
it in hardware; I kept wondering what happened to it. :)
