VIDEO CAPTURE DEVICE NOT DETECTED??

We just installed Pinnacle's USB MovieBox with Studio 9. We would LIKE to
use Movie Maker in XP on our Dell 8250 Dimension, but trying to capture
produces the message that "No Video Capture Device Dectected....". We've
tried the TOOLS>OPTIONS>DISABLE FILTERS ROUTINE to no avail.
We went to the Microsoft page to "learn more about using/not using filters"
but haven't found any useful information there...YET.
We find much information about Movie Maker 2 & 2.1, but when we check
"ABOUT" in Movie Maker Help it tells us we have Movie Maker 5.1???
Sure would like to use Movie Maker as it SEEMS to be a better program than
Studio. (And we're not real fond of doing business with any company that
states, "Users are entitled to ONE FREE CALL to tech support. Any further
issues can be addressed for $30.00 per call.")
We have Nvidia GeForce 4 MX and Santa Cruz. In the TOOLS>OPTIONS> window it
DOES LIST the MovieBox, as well as our DVC150 and some other video programs,
but INSISTS "No Video Capture Device Dectected....".
Any suggestions?

Thank you so much Graham. Guess I'm going to have to open my eyes a little
wider...as well as studying more on the various video formats.
