Right click on your Desktop and select Properties from the drop down list,
on the Display Properties click on Appearance Tab.
On Appearance Tab make sure this option is set correctly:
Font Size:
[ Normal ][v]

Click [OK] and Hit F5, does it work?.
If still then try this:
Right click Start Buttonand select Properties, on the Taskbar and Start Menu
properties click on Start Menu Tab then click on Customize Button.
On Customize Start Menu under General Tab make sure this radio Button is
checked:
Select an icon size for programs
(*) Large Icons
Click [OK] and Hit F5 to refresh.

The print is so small that you can not read enough to tell where the
different settings are. The icons are fine it is the font/print under the
icons and on the start button that you can not read.
Thanks

When I right click on the desk top the print is so small that you can not
read it so I can't not tell where or what to click. When I click the start
button every thing is too small to read. I think I may have a real problem.

Have you tried holding a magnifying glass in front of the screen to
enlarge the type enough to set a larger font in the way that Nass has
suggested?

Hi Elly,

Try using System Restore - if none of the other steps have proven
successful. Use the green start button - lower left hand corner. Click on the
question mark - icon - type in the words "system restore"

Are you able to read any of the results?

Let me know - sorry you are having problems - I know how frustrating it is -
after hours and hours of playing with this stuff. Let me know - Craig

Hi,
Try this:
Hold down the CTRL Key and Scroll with the mouse Middle button and see if
that will enlarge the Font.
If not then Open a run command by pressing the Win Key + R and type in:
sysdm.cpl click [OK] or Hit [Enter] key on your keyboard.

Another try this fix:
Line 4 - 1st colum: for Repair the Icon View:

Do you have the problem if you logged into safe Mode?.
