Fonts 'too' small to read

M

MapleE.

Hi:
The fonts of my laptop is generally 'small,' although I used
every possible ways to make it 'easy to read,' by accessing
'Display' for I.E., and Tools < Options < Read < fonts for
Outlook Express 6. However, most of fonts are still 'too
small' to read, since I love a bit 'bigger' fonts.

Is there a way for a size of 'Fonts' make 'bigger,' ... about
'12' size of fonts on both, I.E. and O.E.

I've been using Windows XP with Media Edition.

Thanks for your help in advance.

If you want to change text size in IE and OE, then use View-Text Size.

Hi:
Thanks for the response.

I did that, View < Text Size < Largest.

However, all fonts of left side of IE and OD is still '8' on the front.

Is there a way to make a font larger, ... '10,' if not '12' in size.

Or, all fonts of Laptos are smaller, ... unlike regular PC?

Thanks,

If it is not only IE/OE as you seemed to first indicate, perhaps the
problem is in Control Panel-Display? Try there.

Hi:
Thanks for the responses. I truly appreciate it.

I did from Display, but there is still not able to
change.

The body text is still the same, except fonts of
top parts of the screen.

On this computer, desktop, I had the exact same problem,
but now after three to four months' use, fonts automatically
becomes, about 10 - 12 in size.

It's very strange, but it's true.
Then, do you think that the Notebook/Laptop is the same issue
to the desktop?

Thanks,

What did you change in Display?
Did you change individual items in Display-Appearance tab-Advanced?
If so, bear in mind that the item: Icon not only handles the text
under icons on the desktop but affects a lot of windows text.

If you changed in Display-Settings tab-Advanced then what DPI did you
set? (96 is normal, though I have a computer where I prefer 120)
What resolution are you using in Display-Settings tab?
Have you tried another resolution?

Hi: Alan E.

Thank you VERY much for all the help.

Just now, I changed to '120,' and I LOVE it very much.

I, too prefer '120,' because this size is good for my eyes,
since I, sometime need to wear glasses if size of fonts
are all '8.' I prefer all '12,' instead '8' that is universal
in my desktop and Laptop. Since I got it three days ago
and am in process of learning, particularly 'how to type'
on the Laptop, I need larger fonts.

Your help on this regard is very significant to me.

Thanks again.

Have a GREAT weekend!

If you want to change text size in IE and OE, then use View-Text Size.

Hey idiot - Intercrap explorer REFUSES to change font size when they are
specified as absolute in stylesheets, and since 99% of all
"webdesigners" are incompetent idiots who think webpages are WYSIWYG,
they use absolute font sizes in stylesheets making their pages
unreadable to a lot of people.

If you do want to change text size go into internet options advanced
accesibility and tick that it should ignore font sizes.

Of course since most programmers at microsoft are incompetents as well,
the browser only ignores font sizes, not font hight specified in
stylesheets, making a lot of pages still look unreadable when you have a
30 point font with an 8 point line spacing.
