Very large fonts in windows

Hello

Yesterday my pc started displaying popup windows in a very large font, too
big to read in some cases (see screenshot
http://www.13th-hour.net/img/stuffed.gif). I backed up my fonts folder prior
to this, so perhaps accidentally removed a default font or similar? I have
reinstalled all the fonts that I backed up, but the problem is persisting.
Help would be greatly appreciated!
