So what type of ISP are you using now? If its DSL then the DSL modem might
also be a router. If so you need to either setup port forwarding through the
DSL modem/router or configure it is a bridge/pass-through mode. Remember
that generally its not a valid test to call the Remote Desktop host PC from
another PC on the local LAN using the public address (IP or FQDN). You need
to test the public address from a truly remote PC.
You can test port forwarding through your router(s) by going to thehttp://
www.canyouseeme.orgsite using IE on the PC you want to remotely
access/control with Remote Desktop.
