verified users in root of active directory

Hello there everybody.

I have a question. on the root of our active directory there is a account
verified users with read rights. The question is : is this neccesary or can
we remove it.

I have never heard of this or even clear as to what it is.

Create an OU that is temp (Such as ou = temp) and move the account there and
disable it. Wait a while and if no one contacts you then delete it.

What language is your OS, that sounds frightingly like Authenticated Users and
if you remove it, you will be hurting most likely.

Run this command

sidtoname S-1-5-11


on one of your domain controllers. You can run it local or you can specify a DC
name with

sidtoname S-1-5-11 dc_name
