vcd use on regular dvd player

i dont have a dvd burner and my movies arent really that big is there a way i
can burn them to cd so that they will play on my dvd player on my tv? if not
how can i convert them to dvd and ill just buy a burner

Buy the DVD burner and you should get software with it.

You can if your player supports the "miniDVD" format which is a DVD
Movie layout on a normal CD. <http://www.videohelp.com/minidvd>

This gives you DVD like quality without a DVD. Most new cheapo players
support this format. You can find out if your player supports it at
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

I do this with my home movies and it works great.

You would need a DVD Authoring software though.
