VB6 MAPI causes Outlook 2007 on VISTA to stop displaying folders

I have a VB6 program that uses MAPI to read the email in the INBOX of Outllok
2007

This works without a problem on Windows XP, but on VISTA after using the VB6
program when I go back to Outlook, I get an error message that the folders
cannot be accessed because the folder has been accessed by another program.
This does not happen on the XP computer with the ame program and Outlook 2007

Is there a solution?

Do you have Outlook installed on your Vista computer? If not, you can
expect
to have problems when you try to use MAPI on that computer.

I do have Outlook 2007 installed on the VISTA computer

I am using a program created by VB6 with SP6
