Vanished Folders names!

Recently after downloading new pictures into "My
Pictures" folder the names of the folders stoped being
displayed when in "Filmstrip" or Thumbnails, (in all
other modes the names are displayed correctly). This
happens when going through the Start menu but it's OK if
I "explore" through "C/My Documents/My Pictures".
Indeed when going through the Start menu it appears to
hesitate before it opens the folder w/o names.
I can't figure how to correct this. Is there a way to
restore it?

Hi Eduardo,

Thumbnail View has no text:

Hold down the shift key while selecting thumbnail view to toggle icon
titles.
