Folder Names Not Displaying In My Pictures Folder

When accessing My Pictures folder by going thru C:\Documents &
Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Pictures the folder names are all displayed
normally using any View type (thumbnail,filmstrip,icon,etc)

When opening the same My Pictures folder going thru the Start\My Pictures
folder link from the desktop the folder names within My Pictures will not
display when using either thumbnail or filmstrip view.

Any ideas? -----On my laptop names using the same procedure are working fine

I assume you accidentally held the Shift key when you selected
thumbnails, which hides captions in XP.
Doing it again reverses the action.

Change to another type of view.
Hold the Shift key down and select thumbnail view
