value of a cell

Is there a way that I could get the value of a cell.Eg. say for instance I
give a certain criterian in a formulae & if it is yes is there a way that
excel could return the value of the cell.

Probably VLookup, but you may want to ask this Excel question in an
Excel newsgroup, rather than this Microsoft Access newsgroup.
