I am building a new 64 bit system and need some information.

I have heard that you cannot just install a 64 bit processor and Motherboard
without reloading the complete system.
If that is the case then I have a second question.

I had a hard time getting the windows validation tool to work, and I can't
remember what I did, but know I had to call MS. I think it was because of an
upgrade that I did. It is now working fine.

I originally started out with Windows 95 OEM.
I then went to windows 98 Retail Purchased upgrade CD
I then went to Windows XP Retail Purchased upgrade CD
I have the numbers and CD's for all of these.

I now want to create a windows xp sp2 Slipstream CD. What product key
number should I use in order to get the validation tool to work?
Can I get it out of the registry?
Thanks alot to you all....

Partition and format the hard drive as you like using the XP disk. Begin the
XP install. It will check the system for a previous version of Windows. When
it finds none, you will be prompted for a disk containing a previous version
of Windows.

Remove the XP disk, insert your Windows 95 OEM disk. It will validate your
Windows 95 OEM disk, and prompt you to insert your XP disk in the drive and
the XP install will continue.

Once the install is complete, you will be prompted for the XP upgrade CD
Key. XPSP2 doesn't require a CDkey or validation that I know of. If it does
, it checks for the original XP CDkey.

To make a slipstream CD, google it. I don't know how.

Thanks for the reply and the help.
