Like the title says, darn thing(s) won't charge up. Have tried 2 of 'em. Anyone know if this is common? Easy "fix"??? It's about 7 years old. 1 original battery, and one "fresh" one from a friends machine that DOES work for him, but not in mine. THANKS!

Does your laptop run fine from the power supply? I think you'll need to get your laptop replaced/fixed as it doesn't sound like a battery problem.
At 7 years old it would be cheaper to get a new one rather than fix your old (basic new laptops are about £400, or cheaper 2nd hand ones from ebay).
