Utility to Get Rid of all but the latest email in a reply chain

Is there a utility out there that will enable a user to get rid of all prior
emails in an email chain? For example, I'm on vacation and come back to an
email sent to my in-box and then subsequently replied to 20 times, thus
leaving me with 21 emails, each one with all of the same information as the
email that preceded it.. Since all I really need is the last email in the
chain, is there a utility that would delete the other 19 emails? Also, when
you file sent emails into a personal folder, you don’t always know when the
last email is so you often wind-up with several emails in a chain when you
really only need the latest version but who remembers to delete the prior
email when moving the latest one?

Thanks

Bill

Grouping by conversation should make it easier.
