Utility for restoring windows/applications at reboot

Many many many years. I have strongly un-recommended Symantec products
for a good decade now. Given how absolutely terrible their security

System restore is not what the user wants. They want the same programs
they had running when they shutdown the computer to reopen when they
start the computer.

I can remember using speed disk and it fouled up my 286, but I had my whole
system backed up on 17 floppy disks.

The REAL floppy disks?

I loved my first machine: 8mhz Turbo XT, 768k of RAM (120k was
dedicated to a RAMdrive), no hard drive, two floppy drives, 2400bd
modem (had to add that myself). That, plus Telix kept me happy
through 3 online services: Prodigy, GEnie and Delphi.

"A" floppy was for the software disc, "B" was to capture text.
