I have a xp pro machine that many people are mapped to access raw MP3
files that can be played from any machine on the network. The problem
seems to be that even with the limited demands, 8-10 people, the
machine has connectivity issues and some users lose connections. I am
using a 100 base network card, so I think bandwidth should be ample to
maintain a steady stream. Any insight on a better way to set this up?

thanks

You're running into a limitation of the operating system - 10 connections
to network resources with XP Pro. To go over that number, you'll need to
use a server operating system.
