Using XP as a server

I have a question that may seem odd. I just need a short answer.
Basically we have a Voice-mail application that can run on Windows XP,
but concerns me because it may infringe on MS policies. Realizing that
users access this box, I would think that it would require CALs and
therefore require a version of server. Can anyone clear this up for me?

As long as you do not exceed the imposed ten (10) connection limitation
for Windows XP Professional, you can use it as a server without any
licensing issues. If your users cannot always connect, then you'll know why.
