using two computers for editing

Is it possible to use two different computers to edit videos? I have saved
the files onto a USB, but I can't seem to see the proper fonts or the music I
put in the backgroud on a different computer.

Also I'm capturing videos onto one computer. Does that mean that i won't be
able to use it on a different computer. I ask because the collections on each
computers are different. How do I upload the collection from one computer to
the other so I can edit the videos.

I've been using my laptop for the initial editing. But I will be using a
friend's computer which hsa windows movie maker, but I don't know if it will
work, or if I have to bring my laptop along. Thanks.

I guess you are using Movie Maker?

The Movie Maker .mswmm project file does
not include the source files...it simply records
the path to the original locations.

If you wish to continue editing the project on
a different computer...you must also have
copies of the source files.

When you open the project in Movie Maker
you will see Red Xs in the Collection pane...
if you right click the Red Xs and browse to
the location of the source files...you may be
able to re-establish the path.

And...if one of the computers is Win XP and
the other is Vista...the .mswmm project files
created on the Vista machine will not work
on XP.
