Using Remote Desktop Connection on Win2K

dave

I downloaded and installed the "Remote Desktop Connection"
software that is preloaded in Windows XP so I can take
control of my Windows 2000 Server...but I do NOT see any
options that let me configure the Windows 2000 Server to
auto accept incoming Remote Desktop Connections
automatically like I can in WinXP Pro/2003 server. Any
ideas??

Dave,

You need to install Terminal Services, through Control Panel\Add/Remove Programs\Add/Remove Windows
Components. During the installation select Remote Administration Mode, this is the Windows 2000 Server equivalent to
Remote Desktop. Once the Terminal Services service is installed and started you should be able to open a terminal
session with the Windows 2000 Server using an administrative account.
