Using Purchased Templates

Jim

I've purchased a couple of MS Frontpage Templates on-line recently -
they look great, really professional but I can't make them work. The
process I used was to create an empty web and then "importing a web"
and pointing to the folder that I had my new template in. I can see
the index page in the edit window but can edit buttons, banners, etc.
Also, no links set up automatically.

I kind of thought that this would be like themes - pretty automatic.
Am I wrong or just not using the templates right. (All my references
talk about using native MS templates - so I can't tell if importing is
different.)

Deeply grateful for any help.

You need to contact the place of purchase for instructions on how install
them within FP.

Jim: Usually when you use a downloaded template, when you click on the downloaded file it is automatically placed in the TEMPLATES section of FrontPage. Basically open FrontPage and go to new on the right side you will see a option that says choose a WEB SITE TEMPLATES. Click this it will open the templates that are loaded in FrontPage. Double click on the template that describes the one that you downloaded. It opens and then you ARE ready to customize!
