I'm trying to set up a base image where an user in Outlook 2007 would
have a personal folder preconfigured (locally stored on the hard
drive). Initially, I tried to use the OCT, but the personal folder
would never show up. I exported the settings to a PRF file and found
no mention of the service.
I then took the PRF file and manually specified the service. I reran
the OCT to use the PRF file. At this point Outlook, upon first
launch, would bring about "The information service has not been
configured. Select an existing file to continue, or type the name of
the new file to create." message.
In my testing, I tried starting Outlook where there was no PST file in
the specified location and when there was a PST file already there.
(After each test I would re-image the machine to a pre-Office install
state to make sure the tests were 'pure.') I also noticed the service
name would remain "Personal Folders" and not "Personal Folders Test".
Operating System: WinXP SP2
