Using PowerPoint 2000 with FrontPage 2000?

I developed a nice template format that I would like to use on my
website; CountyRealty.com.
I created the template using PowerPoint, and I've attached what I would
like it to look like. I tried to "save as" a webpage from within PP,
and it does save it. But, I use FrontPage 2000 as my web page creator
and as my publisher. FP won't open the file; well when I am in in FP
and do an "open" and select the file, it opens the file but switches
over to PowerPoint as the viewer.
Do you know of a way for me to get this PP template into a workable page
that I can open and edit using FrontPage? If not FrontPage, do you know
of any other product that would let me import the PP template and do
what I want?
Any and all insights welcomed.

Steve,

Open the page in notepad and remove all reference to powerpoint between
the <head> </head> tags, then > save as..

It will then be an html document instead of a powerpoint document

In FP set Tools Option General - unselect the 2 check if boxes in Startup
In PPT save a html (but the results will be poor html for the web) and File Import the page and folder to your FP web

PS
Redo the "template in FP and you will have much less trouble
