using outlook for webmail

I use Outlook 2007 for email at home thru RoadRunner and it works fine, but I
need to know how to use RodRunner Webmail with Outlook when traveling. I want
to use Outlook rather than IE in order to use my addressbook, old messages
etc. Is there any way to configure Outlook to use RR webmail?

No, it can't access 'web mail'. Are you taking a laptop with you? You can
access mail anywhere - sending is sometimes a problem but most ISPs will
allow it if you configure your account correctly or use their dialup access.

Yes I use a laptop when traveling. Unfortunately I am seldom at the same
location and have no way of finding out what the smtp server address is even
if the local ISP allows access. I realize that I can use IE to access the
webmail, but then I don't have ready access to my address book, my old
messages etc. That's why I was trying to fiond a way to access the RR webmail
thru Outlook. It seems like this would be a highly desirable feature for
Outlook.

Outlook can download the mail, no problem. If you are using the secure SMTP
server (often port 587) and authenticate with your account information, try
sending. If it fails, copy and paste the contents to a message and send via
webmail.

You could call RR and ask but chances are they won't have a clue.
