using yahoo webmail in outlook

Hi.

I've been trying to get my yahoo webmail working in outlook 2007,
based on the following
guide:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/ha011133141033.aspx

Somehow I can't get it configured when I follow these steps. The
problem seems to be that it keeps
asking for my username/password combination.

Is there anyone else who can confirm that it's still possible to use
yahoo webmail with outlook?
I'm using a free yahoo webmail account, but I'm in the Netherlands, so
according to the guide mentioned,
I should be able to use my free yahoo webmail account in outlook.

States can only be used in Outlook if you have a paid subscription Yahoo!
Mail account that includes POP3 access and forwarding."

Yes, but as I'm not in any of the countries listed (I'm in Europe),
I'd expect my free yahoo webmail to work in outlook.

Is your Yahoo account yahoo.com or yahoo.nl?

Then it will NOT work in an email client.
You need a yahoo.nl or yahoo.uk to work in an email client.

Hmmm.. I didnt even know there was yahoo.nl.. but I do remember making
a yahoo.de account
for someone. I suppose it's not possible to switch afterwards between
yahoo.com and yahoo.de ?

I don't know - you would probably need to contact Yahoo about that.

You can make a new yahoo account in that domain but I don't think you can
"switch" so that everything is automatically redirected by them to the new
account.

Typically, US users get com addresses and others use the localized yahoo
domain. The com domain has by far the most subscribers so I can understand
them wanting users to pay for POP3 access on it.
