Did you try one of the XP 64-bit newsgroups? I know there's been quite a
few questions dealing with Novell and networking in there.

You do not have to use IPX unless it's a really old version of Netware.
Since Netware 5 Novell Netware has been primarily IP based and only
supports IPX for backwards compatability.
