using multiple Exchange accounts in Outlook

Hi,

I have some users which have multiple e-mail addresses, like:
(e-mail address removed)
(e-mail address removed)
(e-mail address removed)

I've added these other addresses to this user as extra SMTP accounts in
Exchange 2003. And when sending mails to this account the user recieves the
mails. So far so good.

Now how to I enable users to send mails from these extra addresses? I can't
add an extra Exchange account to the user's Outlook. I can add the new
address as a seperate IMAP account, but then I get his mailbox twice.
I probably could set up a new Outlook profile and add the new address, but
that's not really good either.

How can I enable the users to send e-mails from his other addresses?

Thanks in advance!

Hey,

My friend recently asked me the same thing. I came up with what is a
creative but non-authoritative solution.

I suggest setting up additional POP account with a dummy incoming
server. This basically adds it as an account so you'd be able to
choose that account when "sending". You could setup the account's
reply to etc. as your incoming address. So when you're composing (or
replying), choose your dummy account as the sender.

The way I understand the additional domains in Exchange and their
limited functionality this seems the most sensible work-around.

Currently you cannot have multiple exchange mailboxes in the same profile.

Your idea to use IMAP is the only available solution now to have them in the
same profile.

You can also create a profile for each Exchange server account.
