Using MS Access over web

I have created a database that i want to access over another system through
the internet by using the ip address of the host machine. I want to edit the
tables' data via any machine so that the changes I have done are updated on
the host machine itself. How do I perform this task and how do I secure the
connection b/w the two machines so that at a time, it cannot be accessed by a
third machine.?
