Using Access to complete PDF Tax Returns

Dave

Bean-counter needs help using accounting information in
Access to complete downloaded PDF tax returns. How can I
insert the PDF tax return in an Access report so that I
can add bound fields from our databases to the returns and
print or email resultant tax returns? (XP Pro, Office XP,
Adobe Acrobat 6).

Hi Dave,

I wish it were that simple...Unless the data was entered into a PDF Form,
you'll need some sort of OCR software that can scan PDFs for data, and a
forms manager so you can map where the fields are. Even if it is a PDF
form, you'll need some other software that can save the form's data out to a
delimited format. As for putting it back, that's not a function for
Access - although a talented programmer could come up with something; but
you'll probably be better off just doing it the old fashioned way. Sorry.
