using access 2003 on access 97 file

I have just bought an IBM T43 laptop. I installed office 2003 and then access
from office 97 in order to read a database built in access 97. I have done
this successfully on my normal computer. On the laptop I get an error telling
me ther is no more memory and the access 97 database will not open. I cannot
find the problem even though I even removed office 2003 and installed access
97 alone. Is it a problem with the laptop?

What's the exact error message you're getting with Access 97?

Out of the box, Access 97 has a problem if there's 1 Gb or more RAM, but
that's corrected by one of the service packs. See
