Users cannot access printer without password

A department with 6 users and 3 printers have this issue:

2 Users have an individual printer directly attached to their PC via USB or
LPT1. When another user attempts to access the printer (they are shared),
they get a box asking them for a username and password to connect to the
printer on username.corporate.domain. This is unusual as the printers were
accessible a week or so ago. The 3rd printer is accessible since it is a
network printer, but it gived the status of "Access denied, could not
connect". It will still print jobs submitted to it though.

So in summary, Users cannot access shared printers anymore, and the Network
printer says Access Denied but still prints when jobs are submitted to it.

Any ideas? I'm stumped.
All PCs are running XP SP2 on a 2003 R2 Server

Thanks,

The Access Denied but still able to print issue is an authentication issue
from the print server connecting back to the client and getting access
denied.

You have a security issue on your domain. I'm just a printer guy.
