Hi everyone, I need some help using Windows XP Prof. I currently am set as
the administrator, however i have two younger people who also use the same
computer under their own limited accounts. There may be some software which i
install on my sign on, but also this shows on the others users sign on when
they sign in. I want to know if there is a way i can prevent this. Also is
there a tool for disabling certain files, programs and folders for access to
limited users? I want to be able to disable certain programs installed to
prevent them from going on there! hope this makes sense. Can someone please
please help me out. Thanks

Remove the shortcuts to the program files you don't want them to access from
their desktop, and from the following folders:
D:\Documents and Settings\<TheirUserName>\Start Menu\Programs
D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

For the permissions issue from Start | Help and Support search on
permissions or see these articles:
