user account permissions

2 questions really.
1. Is there a way to prevent limited user or guest accounts from downloading
or installing programs from the internet ?

2. Is there a way to limit or deny access to certain programs in an
administrator account by a limited user or guest account ?

Hi,

1. Yes and no. Limited users cannot install software, but they can download.

2. No, as the administrator can always change permissions whereas the
limited user cannot.

Thanks for the quick reply
I'm not sure if I made my second question clear. I have a number of
installed programs on my admin. account and I don't want all limited users to
be able to use them. If I can, how do I limit their access to these programs ?

Hi,

Change permissions on the program installation folders so they do not have
access to it. A limited user cannot override permissions set by an admin
account.
