Username / Password windows opens when no passwords are set

I have a small workgroup network that contains 4 computers running Windows XP
Pro, Windows 2000, and Windows MCE. All computer in the existing workgroup
can access shared resources on the workgroup and have no local profiles that
contain passwords to login. I have added a new computer to the network, no
loggin password, and created shared resorces.

When any of the computers on the existing network browse to the new computer
to access the shared rescources a username / password windows appears. This
new system is running Windows MCE and has no local profiles requiring
passwords to login to the computer.

Why is this window appearing, and how do I disable it so other computers on
the workgroup can access the shared folders?

Clinton,

With XP Pro (and MCE), the default Local Security Policy requires a non-blank
password for network access. You need a common account on each computer, with
identical, non blank password. Or you can modify the LSP on each computer.
