I have 2 users sharing a WixXP installation. Both accounts are set as
computer admis so they can each install their needed applications.

How can I configure XP so that programs that user A adds do not appear on
user B's desktop (and vice-versa).

Currently, every time user A installs a new application (and its desktop
icon) is also appears for user B when they logon. Likewise, changes that user
A makes in IE (such as using the Yahoo! toobar) are showing up for user B
(who wants to use on the Goolge toobar).

Thankx

Usually people what the opposite - something installed on one profile isn't
showing up on the others. As to your question, you can't. It's set by the
program install routine unless it asks you at install time. Remove the
startup entry in the all users program folder, and put it in the folder for
the particular user. About the IE issue I can't say. You might want to
post to the internet explorer newsgroup.

It depends on how the software installer was configured.
For some software installations you may have the option to install for all
users or for the account under which the software is installing.
It is not Windows dependent nor can it be configured.
