This can sound confusing, so I will try to make it as clear as
possible.
I'm using Windows XP with a cable connection. I have AOL installed,
also.
There are 3 users created for XP. I'm set up as the administrator and
my two sons are set up as standard users. When logged into XP under
my user name, all of the AOL settings appear as intended. By this,
I'm including the sounds, buddy list appearing, etc. When logged into
XP under either of my sons' accounts, the buddy list doesn't appear
and the sounds are back at the default AOL sounds. One thing I can
say is that I do think when the user selected sounds were chosen, we
were logged into XP under my name.
It does seem that this is a situation where all three users aren't
sharing the same AOL settings. This makes sense from the start, but I
don't know what that would have to do with the buddy list. If the
sounds are set under one user, I see how that is possible, but even if
we manually select the buddy list to appear when in AOL, it won't
work.
I thought this may be an AOL problem, but we all know how useless they
can be. At the same time, I see how this could be a situation of
setting things up where every XP user accound shares the settings that
are currently under my XP user name. Since this is a program and I
don't see where there are AOL settings shown under each user, I'm at a
loss.
So I guess to sum it up: Is there a way that I can make the settings
for AOL that are currently under my XP user name be the settings for
the other XP users?
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
