User Profiles

We have just deployed AD in our network. When one of the uses logged into
the new domain their desktop setting were all gone (this being because they
logged into the PC before as opposed to logging into the domain). What can I
do to move each users profile so that they don't lose their desktop settings
once they log into the new domain?

Use FAST or change the registry setting to point to their old profile
directory after each user logs in once to create the new stuff. You will
have to make sure (with the latter solution) that the Domain User has FULL
RIGHTS to all Files/Folders under the old profile...

If you're doing this on a large scale, you might want to look into
using the USMT - User State Migration Tool.
